Tree Ferns

Tree ferns are one of the most ancient of plants. Ferns with erect trunks are commonly known as tree ferns. The best known of all tree ferns is the Australian and Tasmanian fern, Dicksonia antarctica. We sell both Dicksonia and Cyathea species.
Tree ferns are found growing in tropical and subtropical areas as well temperate rainforests in Australia, New Zealand, and other Pacific island groups.

Ground ferns

Ferns are an ancient type of plant, dating back over three hundred and sixty million years ago. Ferns are leafy (fronds), non-flowering plants that generally grow in very moist areas and will tolerate some shade. Ferns reproduce through spore.

Palms

Palms are relatively new to be used in gardens in Ireland. They bring a special feel to any garden. In basic terms they come in 2 distinct types, the fan palm and the feather palm. Nearly all of the palms that are commercially on offer for outdoor use come from Central and South America and South East Asia.

Bamboos and Restios

Restios: The plant family Restionacea is a family of evergreen, rush-like plants that are found only in the Southern Hemisphere. There are about 330 species in Africa, most of which are found in the Western Cape, 150 in Australia, 4 in New Zealand and 1 species each in South America and South East Asia.
