Origin : Himalaya?
Common Name : Miniature Chusan Palm
Hardy scale : Hardy to -15 Celsius
This fan palm is quite similar in appearance to Trachycarpus fortunei, but has shorter, stiffer leaves that stand more erect and aren’t as deeply divided. It is more cold and wind tolerant.
In my opinion it is a more attractive palm to Trachycarpus fortunei as over time it will build layers of leaves that look very impressive whilst the underlying leaves remain looking good for many years. Along with Trachcarpus fortunei it is one of the hardiest palms available.
